We power independent schools

by on February 19, 2016

As most of you saw, MISBO recently announced its new mission:

MISBO connects independent school professionals
and delivers exceptional value to enrich learning.

This may look very different than before, but it is actually just a restatement of our mission and MISBO’s primary focus on:

Purchasing Consortium + Professional Development + Networking

This focus and MISBO’s efforts remain the same. We are committed to providing these quality benefits and services to our nearly 330 member schools, now located in 16 states. If you saw our launch video and caught the part about being “national,” this is true. However, we have truly been national for some time. With member schools from Florida to Maryland and all the way west to California, it would be difficult to say that MISBO is regional; it has not been for years. Over the past five years, MISBO has strategically developed vendor relationships in order to serve schools across the country with tremendous savings through our Purchasing Consortium.

MISBO has been doing great work for four decades – partly due to the commitment of our founders and others who worked for years to develop the core of our program. Now MISBO wants to make itself available to any independent school in the U.S. that can gain from what we have to offer. MISBO is proud of its new mission, new logo, and new look:

MISBO : : We power independent schools.

We also send a very special thank you to Ralph Finaldi and his team at BRND. We have been working with this great group of people for months. They were diligent about getting to the bottom of MISBO and understanding our needs inside and out, and they fulfilled every expectation along the way. The new look and feel of MISBO is the direct result of their expertise and professionalism.

The MISBO board and staff have been thinking about, talking about, and formulating this approach for nearly a year now. We believe in what we do. We believe strongly in what your schools do every day, which is why you see students in most of our video. MISBO exists to serve our schools; to help our schools serve their students. As Simon Sinek (Start With Why) would say, this is the “why” of MISBO.

Sincerely,
Marc
