Contracts, Agreements and 1099s – oh my!

During the recent MISBO Human Resources Intensive held in Atlanta, there was robust conversation about two issues that schools deal with on a regular basis:

  1. Should faculty and staff have contracts or just employment agreements?
  2. Can/should coaches (and other part time / short term employees) be school employees and therefore processed through payroll and receive a W-2, or can they be contract employees?

I did some research and reached out to a couple of experts – this document includes a number of resources.
