Dear Colleagues,

MISBO’s mission is to provide opportunities for collective purchasing, information sharing, and professional development to it members. MISBO’s purchasing program has been the primary benefit for our members for many years helping schools to purchase from vendors specifically selected by MISBO to serve independent schools and provide significant savings while leading our schools to a more sustainable future. Last year we experimented with a number of webinars highlighting our vendors. The response was very positive and we are continuing this program on a regular schedule throughout the school year. We have received feedback from many of you that you would like to learn more about our vendors and their offerings. This program is a great opportunity to do this. Please click here for a full schedule of MISBO Vendor Webinars and continue to check back often.

The vendor webinars are in addition to our educational webinars that are offered at no charge to MISBO members. This aspect of our professional development offerings started last fall and we now have a full slate of offerings throughout the school year. The content varies in order to serve all MISBO constituents: Business Officers, Facility Directors, Human Resource Directors, and Technology Directors.  There is something for everyone! In fact, the MISBO Board of Directors dedicates their Emerging Issues Committee’s time throughout the year specifically with this program in mind.  Much thought goes into developing our schedule of webinars and these one-hour sessions are a great chance to keep current on the trends and issues facing independent schools.  All this professional support is provided without any added expense and without leaving your office. Please take a look at what we have to offer by clicking here.

Most of you have opened school for the new school year. It is a busy and hectic time, but as I was visiting a school this week, and watched the students looking for their classes and connecting with old and new friends, it reminded me why we all do the work we do for our schools.  As always, it is for the children in our schools and their future. Thank you for what you contribute!

Sincerely,
Marc
